General Principles

At mobilComm Ltd, we take your privacy seriously. The Cookbook app is designed with data minimization in mind — we only collect what is absolutely necessary for the service to function.

What Data We Collect

Firebase Analytics

The app uses Firebase Analytics for anonymous usage statistics (iOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS):

  • Anonymized usage data (viewed recipes, used features)
  • Technical device information (OS version, device type)
  • Crash reports to improve stability

Firebase Analytics is not present on watchOS.

iCloud Sync

The app syncs your user data via iCloud Key-Value Store:

  • Favorite recipes and categories
  • Weekly meal plan
  • Shopping list
  • Browsing history (last 50 items)
  • Recipe ratings

This data is stored in your personal iCloud account under your control.

User Contributions

If you choose to submit a contribution (support request, error report, photo, recipe):

  • Email address (optional) — only to respond to your inquiry
  • Message text and any attachments
  • Submissions are processed on the wikifood.cz server

Search Queries

Searches are performed via the wikifood.cz API. Queries are processed anonymously — we do not store IP addresses or other identifiers.

What We Do NOT Collect

  • No advertising identifiers (IDFA)
  • No cross-app tracking
  • No financial or payment data
  • No location data
  • No contacts, photos, or other sensitive data from your device

How We Use Data

Anonymous analytical data is used to:

  • Improve user experience
  • Identify and fix bugs
  • Make decisions about future app development

Data Sharing

We never sell your data to third parties. Anonymous analytical data from Firebase is not shared with anyone outside our company.

Local Storage

Recipes saved for offline use, favorites, and settings are stored on your device. When you uninstall the app, this data will be deleted.

Children

The app is suitable for all ages (rated 4+). We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request information about processing of your data
  • Delete local data by uninstalling the app
  • Delete iCloud data in Settings → iCloud → Manage Storage
  • Opt out of analytics in Settings → Privacy → Analytics

Policy Changes

We will inform you about significant changes to this policy through app updates or on this website.
